Ald. Sposato: Trump sending the National Guard to Chicago would be ‘a recipe for disaster’

38th Ward Alderman Nicholas Sposato joins Lisa Dent to discuss President Trump’s plan to send the National Guard to Chicago. Ald. Sposato calls that an “idle threat” he doesn’t believe will become reality. He suggests a more effective solution to combat the city’s crime problem would be to calculate the amount of money that would be spent on sending the National Guard and instead provide those funds to Chicago to pay for hiring additional police.
