"And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied." (Acts 9:31) The fear of the Lord is one of the ways to see the Gospel multiplied and people's lives changed. Therefore, if the Church is to multiply today we need to be edified and walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Ghost, and then multiplication will come. But we don't honor, reverence and fear the Lord today. Moreover we are not seeing more people drawing near to God. "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." (2 Cor. 7:1)

We should be perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Moreover, we are commanded to minister to other people in the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is trusting in the Lord. The fear of the Lord is trusting His Word and His Promises. Walking in the fear of the Lord is leaning on our own understanding. Walking in the fear of the Lord means we have for respect for God's judgment than we do our own. Walking in the fear of the Lord means we honor His opinion above our own. Walking in the fear of the Lord means we exalt His opinion over anyone else's. Walking in the fear of the Lord is acknowledging Him in all our ways.

Walking in the fear of the Lord is not being wise in our own eyes. Walking in the fear of the Lord is departing from evil. Walking in the fear of the Lord is healthy. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones." (Prov. 3:8) Walking in the fear of the Lord is honoring the Lord with your firstfruits. We have been taught how to fear many things in life. We need to be taught how to fear the Lord. "And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation." (Lk. 1:50)
