I’m thrilled to share the stage today with Filmmaker, Actor, Singer, and Certified Grief Educator, Grant Garry.Grant is the director of the documentary "Meet Me Where I Am”, which explores the topic of grief through individual stories of loss, love, and hope.It also focuses on how to "be there" for grievers, and what to do/say and what not to do/say. It features some really incredible people and voices in the grief space, and even some famous faces you would recognize that are being brutally honest and open with their grief which is SO refreshing! I was lucky enough to get a little sneak preview, and I genuinely loved this documentary so, so much. I might have shed a happy tear... or five! This film addresses topics and situations that truly need to be recognized and discussed more, and I am so here for it.It’s so encouraging to see what Grant is doing here in directing this highly-needed film to help normalize grief. This conversation today is so needed in my opinion, and I think Grant has such a unique perspective on grief having been a part of this filmmaking process.
