Diverse And United

Amazed and astonished! Those are the words that Luke used to the awe with which the people present at Pentecost heard the disciples speaking in their own language. And yet, perhaps two more words might be used to describe this scene - "diverse" and "united." Even though there was much to distinguish them, this united them all: hearing the salvation that God had accomplished, in love, for all of them by the death and resurrection of His Son.
