You can find Donna at donnasagercowan.com or on Instagram @catt.the.cat
As the youngest child in a large family, Donna felt lost in the crowd. She entertained herself by making up stories and friends to play with. By age 5, Donna had taught herself to read, and that began her imaginative journey to dreamy castles with princes and fairy godmothers.
Donna is a proud grandmother, who enjoys reading and spinning tales for children. Sparking the imagination of a child, so that they may become lifelong readers, adventurers, and writers is her main goal. Donna is a seven-time author, award winner, mentor, friend, inspirer, teacher, encourager, and believer in helping children realize that they already have everything necessary to be a Superhero.
Donna, thanks for the amazing work you do and welcome to the show!
TOTD – “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring; all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Leo Buscaglia

Story of how Donna and I met
What was life like growing up for you?
Why focus on writing children’s books when the average attention span is less than 7 seconds and most people just want to find the answer as opposed to learning through the process?
The value of time and slowing down to READ.
Was there a book you can look back on that transformed your writing career?
Book you just had to scream from the mountain tops?
Talk about helping a young reader feel the progression of reading one page at a time which potential results in an increase in confidence
ENERGY and learning how to harness it and express it – especially when living in pain…
THEMES of your books deal with life and obviously tell a story, with a beginning, a middle, and an end.
What are your life’s essential ingredients?
Why do you do what you do? What personal satisfaction do you feel after helping someone like me?
I often hear you speak of your grandchildren, what is the greatest joy of being grandma (is that what they call you).
Legacy – What is it you want people to feel when your time comes?
Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.
