#79 Nathan Lyon | Becoming the GOAT: From Groundsman To The Greatest Off Spin Bowler Of All Time | Founder of GOATD

In this episode I had the chance to sit down with the greatest off spin bowler of all time, Nathan Lyon. As someone who grew up playing cricket and watching Nathan play for many years, this was a special episode for me.

Nathan very famously started his career as groundskeeper for Adelaide oval before making his test debut in 2011 after only playing 4 shield games. Taking a wicket from the first ever ball he bowled.

Over his illustrious career, Nathan has now become a household name, Playing in over 100 test matches & sitting only 4 wickets away from the magical 500 test match wickets.

Nathan has recently faced one of his toughest challenges yet after tearing his calf in the Ashes earlier in the year. He spoke candidly about the affect that it has had on him since the injury & his plans for returning to the test side.

Nathan has now gone on to launch his business venture GOATD, an online platform built by athletes to connect, inspire and elevate.
