In this episode I sat down with the founder and CEO of Bydee, Dessy Hairis. When Dessy was in high school her Mum taught her how to sew, this led to an interest and blossoming passion for fashion design. As Dessy improved her sewing skills she decided to start selling her bikinis on Facebook and at school and her class mates loved them.
While in University studying fashion design, Dessy started selling her swimwear at market stalls all over Sydney and this is where the traction started to build and the brand began to take off. Bydee has now scaled to a multi-million dollar brand and has establish a loyal customer base all around the globe.
Dessy is extremely humble about her journey and continues to push to create inclusive swimwear for all her Bydee Babes. I'm sure this is just the beginning for Dessy and Bydee and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and the brand.
