Monique founded DNA Distillery along with her cousin James, the first-ever ever Rakija distillery of its kind in Australia. Selling out of their first batch within 3 months of launching.
Distilled from fermented fruit, DNA Distillery’s Rakija is made from old and full-bodied Australian shiraz and sourced from the Hilltops region in Southern NSW.
DNA started when Monique told James that she wanted to put her legal career on hold with aspirations of making Rakija as the traditional runs deep within their family.
Monique and James are heavily involved in every step of the process. The grapes used for the Rakija are handpicked, sorted, and fermented naturally, then distilled again to ensure maximum quality.
This is just the start for the pair and I am positive that they brand will be a household name in years to come.
