Macro update:

Fed Meeting this week - hawkish, not looking to cut rates in March, which the market had baked in, kept the federal funds rate at 5.3%

Job openings strong 9m, up 100k from prev month

Despite layoffs from Goog, MSFT, AMZ, Citigroup, American Airlines, UPS

Big shocker today was job report, almost double forecast at 350k added jobs

unemployment rate holding steady at 3.7%

Small dip in auto sales from 16m last mo to 15m, attributed to weather and holiday hang over most likely

Consumer confidence up

Market update

Nasdaq:  up 1% for the week, 5.8% ytd

S&P 500: up 1.4%, 4.6% ytd

Russell 2000:  down .6%, down 2.5% ytd

BTC: - up 2.4%%, down 2.7% ytd

Gold: up 1.4%, down .5% ytd

Oil: up  down 8% for the week, up 2.5% ytd

MAGS:  Mag 7:  up 4.8% for week, up 11.7% ytd, (Alphabet, Apple, Amz, Meta, MSFT, NVIDA, Tesla)
