What's another word for being preoccupied with becoming and staying  financially wealthy?
Greed.
Gorden Gekko, in 1987, said, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good."
Many culture's including our very own actually elevate the need for greed.
Often, people who aren't wealthy (and greedy) are sneered at and joked about as being suckers and simpletons.
People try to hide or disguise greed in order to keep their secret to wealth well hidden from the "uninitiated.".
Some people are so wrapped up in the culture of wealth they don't know any other way.
I believe the latter is true of the rich, young, ruler we are looking at in this episode.
He was "happily wealthy" (only some of the time).
There's more going on in this story than mets the eye.
