While I was in an in-house, Drug/Alcohol Rehab Program at Baptist Hospital, Downtown Jacksonville, FL. I had a delirium tremens hallucination of a woman who was gazing at a poem that was engraved in a mesmerizing, highly polished, black, onyx, obelisk, rotating on a circular, wooden, lathe-turned, stand surrounded by faint, changing, rainbow-colored, lighting.  

She was worshipping the person who was seducing her; adoring him while was he deceiving her.

Enlivened by the feelings of being appreciated, valued, complimented, and understood by someone… Communication ensued and gradually developed into a more involved relationship.

This is the core of the culture in Israel. It has crept into the Church in the Western hemisphere... the worship of false/other gods.
