To call Elizabeth Joseph an 'influencer' is a bit reductive because she is way more than that as you'll hear in this conversation about perimenopause. She says:
My story is a story of transformation: a midlife revelation, revolution, reinvention. A woman who has gone from invisible housewife, plagued by perimenopause, to a social media menopause guinea pig.
Who has tried out a range of natural products and approaches - from womb massage to fart pants through mouth taping, tapping and turmeric.
Who has a column in a local magazine. Who is writing a book. Who took part in an ad campaign for period pants at the grand old age of 49.
My hope is that by speaking up about this potential shitstorm in our lives, with honesty and humour, no other women need ever stumble into perimenopause clueless, lost or alone.
You can find her on Instagram at @elizabethjosephnavigating and read her column in Living North magazine.
