I Am Gifted. I Am From a Gifted People (w/ Brittany Janay)

Brittany Janay kicks of this week with a loving reminder that we are a gifted people. We have inherited gifts that our people and world need. She reads a passage from a book she has referenced throughout this season on "The Black Helping Tradition," and shares more on the work of Black scholars, ancestors Alexander Crummel & W.E.B. DuBois. In a world that often times pathologizes Blackness, we must be intentional about centering Black joy, Black strength, Black gifts. Our history and lineage is rich ... our liberation requires us to REMEMBER.
