Grace Precedes Peace

1:2 – May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

Grace –Grace means unmerited favor.

1.      Unmerited Grace – entirely separated from human ability or merit. 

2.      Unsurpassed Grace – Rom 5:20

3.      Unassailable Grace –  “grace enough” – “sufficient grace” (2 Cor. 9:8, 2 Pet 1:3)

Peace – peace with God and peace of God

Notice though that grace precedes peace.
