Starring Sandra Bullock (2009’s The Blind Side) and Ryan Reynolds (2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as a publishing exec and her assistant who try to pull off a Green Card marriage, the film was a hit that grossed over $300 million at the box office. Helmed by Anne Fletcher, the director of 27 Dresses, and co-starring Betty White, Mary Steenburgen, and Craig T. Nelson, the film’s rom-com pedigree seems unimpeachable, but does it hold up to today's scrutiny at 15? Is The Proposal the perfect date night movie, or should you swipe left?
