1. The Present Tense of the Verb cestovať (to travel)
Singular: Plural:
cestujem (I travel) cestujeme (we travel)
cestuješ (you travel) cestujete (you travel)
cestuje (he, she, it travels) cestujú (they travel)
2. The Present Tense of the Verb rozumieť (to understand)
Singular: Plural:
rozumiem (I understand) rozumieme (we understand)
rozumieš (you understand) rozumiete(you understand)
rozumie (he, she, it understands) rozumejú(they understand)
3. The Present Tense of the Verb jesť (to eat)
Singular: Plural:
jem (I eat) jeme (we eat)
ješ (you eat) jete (you eat)
je (he, she, it eats) jedia (they eat)
4. The Present Tense of the Verb piť (to drink)
Singular: Plural:
pijem (I drink ) pijeme (we drink)
piješ (you drink) pijete (you drink)

1. Cestujete často?
2. Áno, moja manželka a ja cestujeme často.
3. Ale naše deti necestujú s nami.
4. Hovoríte po francúzsky?
5. Nie, nehovoríme, ale rozumieme bežné frázy.
6. Ale hovoríme po anglicky a trochu po nemecky.
7. A čo vaše deti? Hovoria po anglicky alebo po nemecky?
8. Nehovoria. Sú ešte veľmi malé. Ale rozumejú trochu po anglicky.
