Land of Eem Actual Play | Into the Volcano – Magma Monsters, Pirate Ambushes & the Truth About Weldar

Terror returns in this high-stakes episode of the Land of Eem Actual Play Podcast as Riley and Galen brave the deadly shores of Terror Island once more—this time with the reluctant Weldar in tow, a former villain now humbled in a tight Hawaiian shirt.

From their first steps back into the jungle, danger is relentless. A run-in with Yaljack pirates sends our heroes fleeing through uncharted terrain. Coastal waters prove no safer, as bubble geese—strange jellyfish-like creatures—create deadly vortexes that nearly pull Riley to her doom.

Amid the chaos, we glimpse a more personal side of the journey. Around the campfire, Weldar shares the tragic tale of his father, a fallen Felmog Knight, sparking rare compassion from Riley and cautious doubt from Galen.

The suspense peaks as the trio encounters a pterosaur nest. Armed only with knowledge from the Bearskin of Trivia, they attempt to outwit the creature by standing perfectly still—until their captive imp bolts, sealing its fate and sparing their own.

As they ascend the volcanic cliffs, they encounter Volcanoids—magma-born guardians who explode to protect their territory. With the Rickety Curio of Infinite Doors in hand, the group faces a pivotal choice: escape through a magical portal, or risk everything to reach the treasure rumored to lie within the volcano.

Will they survive? Or will Ulfrex’s forces beat them to the heart of Terror Island?
