The Big Ten Pact, officially termed the "Mutual Academic Defense Compact," is a proposed agreement among universities in the Big Ten Academic Alliance. Initiated by faculty senates, it aims to create a coalition to protect academic freedom, institutional integrity, and research endeavors from potential governmental overreach.
