​Richie Mehta is a Canadian film director and writer, born in Mississauga, Ontario. He is best known for creating, writing, and directing the Netflix series Delhi Crime (2019), which won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020. His feature films include Amal (2007), Siddharth (2013), and I'll Follow You Down (2013). In 2016, he directed the documentary India in a Day, produced by Ridley Scott. Mehta's work often explores complex human stories, bridging his Canadian upbringing with narratives rooted in India.
