Ep 47- Why Does Japan Have So Many Vending Machines?

There are 5.5 million vending machines spread out from the North to South of Japan in every village, town and city. That is almost 1 vending machine for every 23 people which is the most number anywhere in the world.  It is a part of every Japanese person's daily life. And the reason why Japanese like vending machines is not just because of their convenience. There is a traditional reason behind this.
