Exodus 34:27 says, “Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."
In ancient times, the Bible was written in what is today’s Middle East, from Egypt to Israel. Moses compiled the early texts, around 3,700 B.C., and the final manuscripts of the New Testament were written in the last years of the first century A.D.
