Kerusso Daily Devotional - Just Stay in Your Lane

Have you ever run ahead of God? You know what we mean. In our zeal to do great things, we might not wait on Him. We don’t have all the information or revelation we need for the path we are to walk.

That can get you in a lot of trouble!

Micah 6:8 says, “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

It’s the human condition to want to stand out and achieve great things. Our politicians do it, many religious leaders do it.

And we do it as well.

God calls us to do simple things that have great impact. We are to love people, genuinely. Our call is to share the love of Christ with a hurting world.

Nothing flashy, really. Nothing that will get us noticed, probably.

But it’s the work God has called us to. Embrace it, and embrace your destiny in this world!

Let’s pray. Lord, there is so much pain in this world. We want to be just and merciful, as you called us to do. Amen.
