Two teams who suffered opening-round defeats last weekend were hoping to get their seasons up and running on this Saturday night when they went head-to-head at Tom Ryall Park.

The Shamrocks were hoping to show why they were the county champions after their surprise loss at home to Glenmore last time out, while Erin’s Own were going in search of a first under new manager Sean Dempsey after a nine-point defeat to Bennettsbridge on the opening day.
