BODY - THE SIGNS TO WATCH FOR]
So let’s talk about the signs you must never ignore —
because your child may not say “I need help” out loud,
but their behavior will whisper it to you.
- Withdrawal from family and friends
– Your once-chatty child is now silent.
– They cancel plans, avoid eye contact, and prefer isolation. - Changes in eating or sleeping patterns
– Skipping meals? Sleeping too much? Restless nights?
These are red flags we often excuse. - Sudden drop in performance
– Whether it’s school or hobbies — if they’ve lost interest or motivation, something deeper might be going on. - Irritability or extreme mood swings
– Anger, frustration, or sudden tears? These are emotional releases of inner pain. - Talking negatively about themselves
– “I’m useless.” “No one likes me.” “I mess everything up.”
These statements are not attention-seeking.
They’re pain-revealing. - Physical complaints with no clear cause
– Headaches, stomachaches, fatigue — often tied to emotional stress. - Subtle cries like ‘I’m tired of everything’ or ‘I don’t care anymore’
– Listen closely. These aren’t random remarks. They’re coded distress.
