Here Are 5 Powerful Tips to Support Your Son Through This Stage:
- Create a Safe Emotional Space
Don’t force him to talk. Just be available. Let him know he can come to you without judgment.
- Teach Emotional Vocabulary
Boys often suppress feelings. Help him name emotions — “Are you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or just tired?
- Set Clear but Compassionate Boundaries
Teens test limits, but they crave structure. Be firm, but always explain why the boundary exists.
- Talk About Puberty Early and Openly
Don’t wait for school or friends to teach him. Talk about body changes, hygiene, and even relationships with comfort and clarity.
- Model Respect and Responsibility
Your behavior is his guide. He’s watching how you treat others, manage anger, and handle stress — mirror what you want him to learn.
