In chapter 9 Paul is now coming to the defense of the Jews who were at this time being looked upon as a people whom God was finished with. Now that God was moving through the church and the gospel was bringing a multitude to Him through the Holy Spirit's work in the lives of many, what further need was there for the Jews? Paul declares the still relevant in God's plan.
