The Rules Do Not Matter to Certain Groups of People

Claudine Gay, the now former president of Harvard University, resigned this week and continues to defend herself that she was targeted. Forget the fact that she was caught plagiarizing (allegedly some 50 times) and it should be overlooked because of her skin colour. Her supporters are echoing this sentiment and are attacking those who led the charge for her dismissal. Seems like the rules for her are not the same! We are also seeing an escalation in hate protests that are disrupting society and are against the law. However, law enforcement and community leaders are not doing anything to stop them. Therefore, the rules we all have to follow do not matter to them.
