Joie Miami is the true story of one woman’s journey into drugs, money, the Mob, and the ultimate betrayal. Narrated by Joie and her only daughter Nicole Levy, “Joie Miami” tells the true story of Joie Talarico, a.k.a. “Joie Miami,” who was part of the organized crime underworld that once ruled South Florida in the 1970’s and 80’s. The podcast evokes the period when Miami was rife with crime and earned the dubious distinction of being the cocaine and marijuana capital of the United States. As Joie recalls, she was an unofficial mob soldier at the top of her game as a high-earning criminal until her life circumstances drastically changed and she turned to the FBI to start a new life.
