'Coffee'
I got out of bed one day and made my way down the hall to the kitchen for some coffee
The coffee maker wouldn't turn on, and so I stood and stared and thought about no coffee
Legitimate addiction, as I grab my keys and coat plus a dollar-fifty
I wonder will it ever end?
All the sleepy mornings and a drink upon which I depend
It's alright, don't get down on yourself
That's life, and that's what learning's about
Don't stress, you can let it all go
It's alright, don't get down on yourself
Just laugh, cause that's what living's about
Don't stress, you can let it all go
Internally conflicted, as I wax and wane between my conscience and my brain,
Telling me I need this drink to feel good, with a kick and a boost to elevate my mood
What about exercise or some vitamins, or maybe a cup of tea?
But none of that sounds as appealing to me
