Issam Nassar is a Palestinian historian of photography and the Middle East. He is professor of History at Illinois State University and a research fellow at the Institute of Jerusalem Studies. Nassar was associate editor of the Jerusalem Quarterly and has authored many books, among them *European Portrayals of Jerusalem. *Nassar is currently Professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.
