Maya de Vries Kedem is an ethnographic researcher who loves to be at the field-site and believe that a good research can lead to action. She is interested in social media, digital activism, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Jerusalem/al-Quds. She is teaching at the Swiss Center for Conflict resolution and the Department of Communication at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She also loves documentary making and believes in the power of this genre to create waves of change and was involved in Israeli-Palestinian cinematic projects. She is currently working on a long-term ethnographic research in East Jerusalem focusing on elderly and digital platforms. This is an international project led by Prof. Daniel Miller from UCL.
