- Touching upon the Bibi Zainab in honor of her recent wiladat
- In her famous khuṭba, in the darbar of Yazīd, she mentioned three verses from the Qur’ān.
- In the first one she reminds Yazīd not to gloat over his apparent victory
- Narrating a related verse from the Qur'an - Yazīd died and most Muslims consider him to be disgrace to Islam and humanity. He ruled a vast empire, but the people didn’t even honour him with a decent resting place.
- On the other hand, the name of Zaynab of shines in history with glory; and her shrine in the outskirts of Damascus –the capital of Yazīd– has a beautiful shrine which is visited by millions.
- The ideological children of the Umayyids, known as extremist Salafis, have opened their shops in different parts of the world with different names. Al-Qaida, ISIS, Taliban, etc
- ISIS tried to destroy the shrine of Lady Zaynab and also tried to get closer to shrine of the Imams in Samarra, Iraq – but they were defeated at the hands of the Shi‘a fighters of various nationalities.
- The USA – thousands of miles away from Iraq – is asking those who are close to Iraq to “not interfere” although these nations have centuries old cultural, economic and religious ties. And then it allows itself to attack with impunity, thus violating Iraqi sovereignty! This is the height of arrogance.
- Some people have a tradition of making new year’s resolution for themselves. By keeping the wilādat week of Lady Zaynab, let us make a pledge of looking at our own family lives and identify what are the points of anger and aggression.
- What are the triggers that causes a husband or a wife to express rage and angry outbursts?
- Narrating Qur'anic verses related to this topic
