Welcome to this bitesize episode where I have the pleasure of discussing psychological safety, effective communication, and building resilient teams with Kristin Omreng, a Global HR Director. Kristin shares her insights on creating a culture of inclusion and resilience, emphasising the importance of diversity, continuous learning, and compassionate leadership.

Three Key Takeaways from This Episode:

  1. Psychological Safety and Diversity in Teams:
Kristin emphasizes the importance of creating an environment where employees feel safe to express their ideas and opinions. By fostering diversity of thought and a culture of inclusion, organizations can tap into the full potential of their teams. This psychological safety strengthens organizational resilience, allowing teams to adapt to challenges.
  2. Feedback Loops and Continuous Learning:
Feedback loops are critical for growth and improvement. Kristin highlights how regular lessons-learned sessions create space for open, compassionate conversations about what went well and what could be improved. This iterative process enables teams to adapt quickly, building resilience and enhancing performance.
  3. Leadership and Communication:
As a leader, Kristin discusses the importance of modeling open communication and making time for feedback. She encourages leaders to prioritize team well-being, provide honest feedback with compassion, and focus on development.
