Mike Sales, creator and writer of the graphic novel Disturbin’ the Peace, a story about family, community, and what it takes to keep your loved ones safe. From his website:

“Best described as ‘The Wire meets Marvel Comics’, Disturbin’ The Peace tells the story of Nefertiti, a single mom who splits her time raising her son and looking out for the folks in her neighborhood. But she breaks a gang truce to save a young girl and sets off a chain of events that puts her whole family in jeopardy.”

Mike is a creator with an imagination that is only matched by his knowledge. Talking about his favorite comics with him was an educational and entertaining experience for me.
