The time is now 06:00 AM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

At 6:00 AM, we bring you the latest developments from the ongoing multi-front conflict involving Israel, Iran, and their proxies across the Middle East. Israel’s military leadership has issued a firm statement condemning any remarks undermining the morality and legitimacy of Israel Defense Forces operations. The Chief of Staff emphasized that the IDF acts in accordance with international law and moral standards, with unwavering dedication to the security of Israeli citizens. This comes amid heightened tensions on multiple fronts, as Israel continues its military operations in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, targeting militant groups engaged in hostilities against Israeli territory.

In Gaza, Israeli forces have resumed active operations, including targeting Hamas infrastructure. The IDF reports that they have identified and destroyed suspected militant sites, including weapons depots and command centers, with ongoing efforts to locate and free hostages held by Hamas. The military states that these operations are aimed at degrading Hamas’s military capacity and securing the return of abducted civilians.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts persist. Israel is engaged in indirect negotiations via Qatar, attempting to reach a ceasefire deal with Hamas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly contemplating recalling the Israeli delegation from Doha if no significant progress is made. Qatar’s Prime Minister has expressed that the negotiations are stalled due to deep divisions, with Israel demanding a partial agreement and Hamas seeking broader terms. Despite these hurdles, Israel has permitted limited humanitarian aid into Gaza—five trucks on Monday—marking the first aid entry in two months. The United Nations has announced that approximately 100 aid trucks will be allowed entry today, with supplies including baby food and nutritional products, amid rising malnutrition rates in Gaza due to the blockade.

On the international stage, the United Nations and other bodies are calling for increased humanitarian access. UN officials warn that food shortages could lead to a catastrophic rise in malnutrition, especially among children. Simultaneously, diplomatic channels are active elsewhere. The United States has indicated that it will not accept uranium enrichment in Iran’s nuclear program, aligning with previous US policy. Iran’s Supreme Leader has dismissed these demands, criticizing American sanctions and insisting Iran’s nuclear activities will continue, with or without a deal.

In the broader Middle East, tensions remain high. Lebanon’s Hezbollah continues its proxy attacks, and Iranian officials have reiterated their opposition to US sanctions and nuclear restrictions. Israeli military forces are maintaining high alert across all fronts, with recent reports of active combat operations and strikes against militant positions.

Domestic Israeli issues also develop. The government is under pressure from various sectors regarding ongoing military operations and aid provisions. In Israel’s political sphere, discussions about expanding settlements in Judea and Samaria continue, with some reports indicating the legalization of 22 settlements in exchange for facilitating aid to Gaza. The government is also facing scrutiny over its handling of hostage negotiations. Talks with Hamas about a potential ceasefire and hostage releases are ongoing, with some officials warning that progress remains uncertain. Prime Minister Netanyahu has emphasized the importance of maintaining US support and avoiding premature withdrawals from negotiations.
