I'm excited to introduce this week's guest, Ben Reuter. He's an expert in movement, and he helps people to treat it as a lifestyle, rather than just one more thing to tick off your to-do list. Ben is an excellent guest with loads of great stories, and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.
Movement is a big part of my life, but I'm not sure if I ever really thought about it until I had this conversation with Ben. Movement (whether it's walking, running, or kickboxing) is a huge part of my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It's not just exercise. It takes me places, teaches me things. It's made my life a better experience.
About Ben Reuter
Ben Reuter, Ph.D. is an exercise physiologist teaching at a regional university. He is active as a practitioner, lifetime mover, and athlete who has delved into the world of podcasting with @_mov2liv and @fitlabpgh.
Ben believes movement should be treated as a lifestyle...not just an activity because movement is part of what makes life complete.
The idea for the Moving2Live podcast came from his interest in listening to long-form movement-related podcasts that were directed either towards professionals or the general public. The idea for the FitLabPGH podcast came during a run with his dogs when he realized that there were a variety of national fitness and movement-focused podcasts, but none limited exclusively to Pittsburgh people, businesses, and activities.
