Today’s Guest
I'm back again, with another solo episode! Today I'm talking about personal power. This episode was inspired by two things: a message I received from a listener, and a chapter from my upcoming book, If Trees Could Talk. Personal power is something that I've really struggled with in the past, and it's formed the foundation of much of the mindset work that I've done with myself over the past 5+ years. If you've been feeling powerless in your life, or if you've been dealing with a difficult relationship where you've given your power to someone else, I hope you find this useful. Even if you feel like things are going pretty well and things are kind of neutral (or maybe even good!), personal power is something that we can all work on a little bit more.
Quote from The Grandmothers, Chapter 13 in my upcoming book If Trees Could Talk: Life Lessons from the Wisdom of the Woods:
“Personal power is a feeling ... and it is multi-layered. It is not something that most people will achieve overnight, or after one simple visualization. It is made up of the layers of self-trust, self-love, self-acceptance, self-esteem, self-confidence, self-value, self-worth. And it is the sense of all of these things being deeply grounded and connected with all the multiple layers of your being: your conscious mind, your subconscious mind, your superconscious mind. It is your regular everyday self, connected with your Higher Self, or soul....”
