UK PROG-ROCK GROUP ‘GALAHAD' RELEASES ‘THE LAST GREAT ADVENTURER’

Galahad was formed in 1985 just for fun playing roughly half covers (Genesis, Zeppelin, Rush, Sabbath, Focus, Marillion etc.) and half original material. Galahad then supported a few well known 'Progressive' bands that were coming up at the time.

Then, after mixing it with the slightly 'bigger boys' Galahad decided to take it more seriously and began playing only original material resulting in the release of their first proper album in 1991, 'Nothing Is Written', which was purely self -financed and released independently but which went on to sell several thousand copies.

The success of 'Nothing Is Written' was also helped by the fact that the band received substantial air play on BBC Radio One, especially on the Radio One Rock Show hosted by the late, great Tommy Vance. The band then landed themselves with deals in the UK, Japan, and Germany.

2021 saw the release of the re-mixed 1998 album 'Following Ghosts' on a limited double vinyl which is available in standard black, gold and a very limited red and orange splatter version.

'Galahad Electric Company' featuring Dean and Stu also released a second lock down album 'Soul Therapy' on CD.

Galahad's long awaited ELEVENTH studio album 'The Last Great Adventurer' which features Mark Spencer on Bass guitar on a brand new Galahad album for the first time ever was released in October 2022.

Galahad is very pleased to announce the release of a brand-new studio album 'The Last Great Adventurer'. This latest opus, the band's eleventh studio album, has been several years in the making and most of the songs on the album pre-date the previous 'Seas of Change' album from 2018! Plus, due the constraints of the recent Covid emergency, the album was recorded at several locations over the last couple of years by the various band members and finally edited, mixed and mastered, as usual, by engineer/producer extraordinaire Karl Groom (Threshold/Dragonforce/Pendragon/Arena/Yes etc.). The main album consists of five tracks plus two bonus tracks on the CD including, at long last, a new version of 'Another Life Not Lived' originally written by the late and much missed Neil Pepper and Stu back in 2009. Musically the album has a crisp contemporary sound but also still includes plenty nods to the band's progressive heritage particularly on the closing title track, which is a very personal tribute to Stuart's father, Bob.
