Prog Ensemble CAIRO To Release 2nd Album “Nemesis” on May 5, 2023

Formed in 2016, award-winning CAIRO present a unique blend of thought-provoking songwriting with progressive rock and metal updated for the modern age. Their debut album “SAY” was met with critical acclaim and earned the band recognition and prestige across the progressive rock community. They are an established live act, having played many shows including a headline slot at Winter’s End and a main stage slot at Cambridge Rock Festival.

Their much-anticipated second album, Nemesis, is due to be released on 5th May 2023 on the QEDG -affiliated label, Spirit of Unicorn Music.

Their new studio album, recorded with John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios, taps into contemporary global concerns and demonstrates the band’s impressive, genre-defying approach with menacing, angular riffs, pop rock hooks and electronic soundscapes that all beautifully complement powerful and emotive vocals. In this exciting and purposefully eclectic new album, the band venture into familiar ‘CAIRO rocks’ territory with the dynamic, moving epics. There are also some exciting departures for the band venturing into more melodic rock areas.

There is also a short keys-based orchestral instrumental, “Save The Earth,” which doffs a cap to the likes of the sadly, recently departed Vangelis, and acts as a prologue into the title track.
