Ask the Rabbi - Forgiveness and Repentance

On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Biblical New Year, the Jewish people enter the most awesome season of the whole year known as the Ten Days of Repentance (or Return) which conclude with Yom Kippur. But the messages of this season are universal as forgiveness plays a critical role.  What does the Torah say about this?  How can we replicate King David’s sincerity? How do thousands of years of Jewish teaching guide us in this annual renewal?
