It has been a shocking time in cricket following the Azeem Rafiq whistleblowing case. What’s clear is that this is not just about cricket – it’s about sport and wider society in general. We all have a duty to make our team members feel safe and included. As Nelson Mandela said, “sport has the power to change the world, it is more powerful than governments. It speaks to people in a language they understand – sport creates hope where once there was despair.”
