We cannot express how honored we are as organizers and as Indigenous women to be a part of the MMIW Women's Empowerment Retreat in Pasco, WA last week. It was beyond incredible to witness the power and strength of the Indigenous women of the Washington Nations; Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla.
