In our debut episode, we talk to Erin, a remarkable parent of two children—one non-binary and one transgender. Erin and her family made the brave decision to move from Philadelphia, a sanctuary city for LGBTQ+ folks, to escape the fear of gun violence, mass shootings and to provide a safer environment for her kids. Erin has become a fierce advocate for her children's rights, actively participating in city council meetings and local community groups, creating spaces where parents and kids alike can talk, learn, and support each other.
