In this episode of the Thryving Mother Podcast, I’m talking with Katie Connolly, a registered Yoga Teacher, Educator and Craniosacral specialist, Founder of GloWithin, and mother. She has a passion for learning, particularly when it comes to the mind, body and emotions and the impact on our lives from utero to our later years. This conversation touches on how connecting with and nurturing our Inner Child, our purest form of self is a vital part of our overall wellbeing. Many of us are overwhelmed, leaving limited space for self-care until our bodies are screaming at us - Katie speaks to this and thoughtful ways on how we can integrate more peace and softness in our motherhood journey. About Katie (in her own words)
The gift of breath and meditation my Mam gave me as a child continues to inspire my life work - in particular empowering women, educators, parents, and children to also nurture their inner-child. I have been coaching adults and children for over 20 years, and teaching yoga to adults and children, and creating programs for educators since 2012. I believe if the child’s support system truly understands and can go within themselves, our future generation will also be able to do the same for greater resilience and to nurture their gloWithin. I feel so incredibly fortunate to be able to support communities and individuals in this way. I take a trauma-sensitive approach to all my work, and empower my clients and students with simple somatic and yoga-based tools so they can support themselves.
