“Ahhh, finally some fresh air!” it yawned when she spread it on the sand. Then, without warning, it began telling a story: “Once, I sailed across the Seven Seas on the back of a giant turtle…”

Ellie gasped. “You… you’ve been on adventures?”

“Oh, plenty!” the towel replied, puffing out its threads. Each time Ellie laid on it, the towel spun a new tale—about surfing with dolphins made of starlight, discovering treasure chests of bubblegum, and battling a giant wave shaped like a dragon.

The amazing part? As the towel spoke, the kids around it could see the stories come alive in the air like shimmering mirages. Dolphins leapt, dragons roared, and castles of seashells glowed above the sand. Soon, all the kids gathered around Ellie’s towel every day, ready for a new adventure.
