Consent and mental well-being - with Malcolm Struthers

Jenny and Malcolm discuss the mental health support programme 'Mind Your Head' run by Happy Valley Pride in Yorkshire, and the ways consent impacts on mental well-being, particularly for LGBTQIA+ communities

Malcolm has worked with a variety of public and private sector organisations in a range of communications, marketing, and management roles (including the Equal Opportunities Commission, National Housing Federation and Bank of New York).

In 2020 he decided to change the focus of his career and is now a freelance communications specialist, campaign manager and clinical hypnotherapist.

Currently he leads the Mind Your Head project promoting better LGBTQ+ metal health and wellbeing in Calderdale and beyond. He also runs his own hypnotherapy practice and is a trustee with Happy Valley Pride and Hebden Bridge Film Festival. This is alongside freelance communications and project management work for organisations including the Stove Network in Dumfries and Galloway and the Brunswick Centre in Yorkshire.
