Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless)

The Pretty Reckless's latest album, Death By Rock and Roll, is informed by the grief frontwoman Taylor Momsen felt following the passing of two musical giants – the band’s longtime producer and unofficial fifth member Kato Khandwala in 2018, and Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, with whom The Pretty Reckless were on tour at the time of his death in 2017.

Their deaths sent Taylor into a deep depression, which only really started to abate when she turned to music for solace.

We talk about the creation of the album in this interview, as well as Taylor’s upbringing in the entertainment industry, her memories of seeing the White Stripes as a nine-year-old and much, much more.
