dattrax: WOW!! It's been a year since the last house mix was posted!!! (I've probably made over 30 mixes since then but they all sucked or had unforgivable mistakes. All our mixes have imperfections and slight mistakes but it's the trainwrecks or the wrong selection that just drops the mood you were trying to create that you don't want to share ;).It's been a challenging last few years personally. Life happens. Not all positive but you roll with the punches. You try to see some good in your circumstances and realise that at the end of the day, you can only control you and NOT ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE, not what they do, say, feel or think. It's probably less than 10% of all the mixes we've made but it's the ones that we love and enjoy to listening over and over.A house mix should be special. Not to be listened to once and then deleted or discarded. A good house mix is one that you want to listen over and over again to put you in that happy mental and puts that big fat smile on your face.This is how mixed tapes were treated back when Jim and I first fell in love with house. There were very few mixed cassette tapes from our favourite Toronto DJs, so when you got a hold of a good one. WOW!! It got dubbed and shared with your dozen closest friends. It got played over and over again on your portable cassette player.Jim and I are best friends and have both loved house since we were 15-16 and now we're both 40+!!We're still addicted to buying house music every single month! I'm very excited to share this new house music mix with you! Been working on this mix for about a month in the cracks of time between work, seeing my beautiful children on most weekends, networking and hanging out with good friends. Been thinking about an 80s pop and house mix for years. Thinking and not doing.
