Training Talk: Managing Expectations

We have all heard the stories of, or owned a standout young dog.  Some show great amounts of promise at an early age, and at times that can skew our view/mindset and create expectations.  The guys talk about recognizing these types of pups and the added pressure a great prospect puts on a Houndsman.  Remembering that they are still pups can be a challenge when they are an outstanding prospect, how do we manage our expectations?
