The Gone To The Dogs Podcast this week features one of the most controversial figures in the sport of raccoon hunting, Norman Starling. 

From the State of Ohio, Starling is known throughout social media for his videos involving the 1 on 1 Coon League, essentially a challenge hunt with Starling calling out the owners of advertised coonhounds to go mano y mano against his flavor-of-the-day Bluetick in a three-hour competition where, in his words, the viewers are the jury as to who is packing the better hound. 

Starling’s outspoken demeanor, unorthodox views and flamboyant antics have divided his viewing audience into two distinct groups, those that disparage his flamboyance and in-your-face attitude and those that consider him one of the sport’s greatest influences. 

In this interview, Steve is determined to peel back the layers in an attempt to reveal the real Norm Starling and finds, to his surprise, that things are not always as they may seem.  This will be one of the most-listened-to podcasts in the genre of coon hunting podcasts to date.  To miss it is an admission that as a listener you really aren’t on the cutting edge of coonhound pop culture today.  It may also mean you are a purist with no interest in the way that cookie crumbles.Either way, you owe it to yourself to see what Stormin’ Norman has to say when the record button turns red and Steve and Norm go 1 on 1.
